IMPORTANT POINTS FOR Buyers

Here are some important points to consider when beginning your search.

  • How much are you able or willing to spend? 

  • How much can you put down as a down payment? This is absolutely critical for Co-ops.

  • What is your credit score?

  • Are you pre-qualified or pre-approved for a mortgage?

  • When do you want to move into your new property? 

  • How many bedrooms do you need? 

  • What neighborhoods are you most interested in? 

  • What is your preference for building style? I.e. high rise, pre-war, new construction.

  • Which amenities are essential to you? I.e. doorman, elevator, outdoor space, etc.

  • Is your purchase dependent on other factors? I.e. need to sell your current home, a pending job offer, or a lease expirations, etc.).
